We Give Wednesdays
Along with individual involvement, the stores work together to further support their communities. One Wednesday out of every month, Lizard Thicket stores host We Give Wednesday’s which gives the customer an opportunity to help us give back. On this day, 10% of all sales are donated to the charity of the month.
Hope Panhandle
Lizard Thicket Panama City Beach chose Hope Panhandle as July's charity of the month for WGW. All Lizard Thicket locations raised $4,625.64 in one day! LT Panama City staff were able to present LT's donation to Hope Panhandle. Hope Panhandle is committed to offering relief and recovery to Florida Panhandle residents after the devastation cause by Hurricane Michael.

Bloom Closet
Staff from our Lizard Thicket Peachtree City & Newnan locations volunteered at Bloom Closet. They sorted through donations and put newly donated fall & winter items in the closet! Bloom Closet provides Georgia’s foster children with free clothing, shoes, baby gear, books, toys, and school supplies. Their mission is to make foster children feel special because they are!

Lizard Thicket Norcross volunteered to sort through donations at the Norcross Co-Op. They focused on the quality of donations rather than the quantity because the Norcross Co-Op strives to provide the best for families in need. Donations included household appliances, food, school supplies, hygiene products, and clothing. The Norcross Co-op is dedicated to providing emergency assistance to families in Norcross, Peachtree Corners, Doraville and Tucker, Georgia of Gwinnett County. They serve around 50 to 70 families per day.

The McDonough team partnered with A Friend's House to support their 5k race. A Friend's House is a home for children in crisis in Henry County, Georgia.

The Mall of Georgia and Norcross teams volunteered at the Goldenrama event hosted by Adopt A Golden Atlanta. Adopt A Golden Atlanta is the largest Golden Retriever rescue in the Southeast, and is dedicated to finding loving, permanent homes for Golden Retrievers.

Walk To End Alzheimer's
The East Cobb team participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Cobb County, Georgia. The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research.

The Knoxville team spent the morning stocking boxes of food at the Grace Food Pantry. These boxes will feed hungry families in Knoxville for the month. Grace Food Pantry Open offers a monthly supermarket-style food pantry for the Knoxville community.

Walk Of Faith House
Our Carrollton team partnered with Walk of Faith House to support runners in their 5k race. The Walk of Faith House is a minimum 12 month, in-house program for women 18 and older, who have found themselves in a position of life threatening addictions and are ready and willing for a change, and to transition into a life of freedom.

Our Carrollton team volunteered with the Carroll County Soup Kitchen to make over 900 sandwiches. The Carroll County Soup Kitchen works to feed the hungry in Carroll County, Georgia.

Our Norcross, Georgia team partnered with Samaritan's Purse and helped out with Operation Christmas Child! Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has delivered gift-filled shoeboxes to over 124 million children affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, and other crises in more than 150 countries and territories.

Our Newnan and Carrollton Teams came together for a night of volunteering! They helped Wellspring Living by putting together bags for women coming out of human trafficking. Wellspring Living helps domestic sex trafficking victims and the "at risk" develop the courage to move forward and the confidence to succeed.

Our Norcross, Georgia team helped out at The Goldenrama put on by Adopt A Golden Atlanta. Adopt a Golden Atlanta is a volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to finding warm, loving permanent homes for Golden Retrievers in order to prevent them from becoming strays or adding to the shelter overpopulation.

Our Norcross Team partnered with Be The Match to host a Swab and Save event this August. Customers were able to actively be a part of the event by getting their mouth swabbed to potentially save a life later down the road! This raised money and awareness for the thousands of patients living with blood cancers such as leukemia or other diseases like sickle cell anemia.

Race 13.1
Our Knoxville employees supporting the Race 13.1 for Huntington's Disease Society of America. This run was held on May 17th, 2015 in Turkey Creek. Our LT staff directed runners and handed out water bottles, treats, and umbrellas! It was a very rainy day but the outcome was incredible!

The Nashville and Franklin stores held a fundraiser for Hearts2Honduras on May 9th, 2015. All the money raised was used to furnish a new learning center built for children in Honduras. Hearts 2 Honduras believes in breaking the cycle of poverty one child at a time.
